Anyone with a potentially life-limiting illness or combination of illnesses may be eligible for hospice care. These illnesses may include cancer, heart, lung or liver disease, diabetes, ALS, Parkinson’s, stroke, Multiple Sclerosis, Cystic Fibrosis, HIV/AIDS, blood disorders, Alzheimer’s Disease/Dementia -- and others.

Medicare, Medicaid and most private insurance plans cover hospice care. Hope Hospice provides services regardless of a patient's ability to pay.
Most reimbursement sources require a prognosis of six months or less if the illness runs its normal course. Individuals who live beyond the six-month prognosis continue to receive hospice care if approved by a physician.
